Celia Hammond Animal Trust
The first charity to emphasise the importance of neutering, CHAT rescues & rehomes animals, mainly cats, & provides low cost veterinary treatment for those on low incomes at their Canning Town & Lewisham clinics. They also do TNR work, mainly in East & South East London.

RSPCA - Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The UK’s leading animal welfare charity, the RSPCA seeks to ensure that the Animal Welfare Act 2006 is upheld & is the only charity with authority to caution or prosecute in cases of cruelty or negligence.
Tel: 0300 1234 999 - if you find a cat in need of emergency veterinary treatment & ask for an RSPCA log number before you take the cat to a vet. This log number will cover £60 of treatment costs.

Cats Protection
The UK’s leading cat charity, CP helps over 200,000 cats each year through its network of over 250 branches & 32 adoption centres.

London Cat Care & Control Consortium (C4)
C4 is a London wide initiative funded by several charities. It operates within the area bounded by the M25 & is a free neutering scheme for stray or feral cats. It also offers free cat neutering for people on benefits or who earn no more than £16,000 per year.
